Of course it is. It has always been relevant, even when the noise from a small group might claim that blogging is dead.
If blogging weren’t relevant, I wouldn’t consider starting one about niche blogging and how to make money from it.
Over 70% of internet users read blog posts regularly from real content creators/bloggers.
Yes, you can argue that AI and the way we conduct research have drastically changed when ChatGPT and other AI agents took the world by storm, but you are still required to fact-check the sources.
There are over 600 million active blogs. 40% of them are made in WordPress, and I see no decline in growth.
My observation is that blogging isn’t dead for the following reasons:
- Authenticity factor
- Critical for companies and their branding strategy
- Increases trust and reputation
- Great for inbound lead generation
- Attracts quality traffic
- People like to read from people
- Personal branding
Authenticity Factor
I recently joined Threads, and I felt I was being absorbed by the platform. Social media and image-driven platforms like Instagram represent a false idea of how life is.
- Fake influencers with a luxury lifestyle are desperately finding validation
- AI-generated models earning 6-7 figures per month
- People are going into debt because their circle and society expect them to flaunt “wealth.”
I find it mind-blowing.
The same applies to AI-generated content. I caught so many new blogs copying and pasting an article straight from ChatGPT without edits or formatting.
I prefer to read from people. And I am certain a lot of end-users or readers will agree.
Reading someone else’s thoughts, emotional input, or perspective is authentic.
As a blogger and content creator, I want to express my frustrations, emotions, and insights in true form.
Not written by AI without depth.
Yes, I also use AI, but as an aid and assistant that helps me rewrite some of my sentences as a non-native English speaker.
Blogging Is Essential For Companies
If you’re like me, checking the latest blog posts from a company is a solid indicator of:
- How well they’re doing
- If they’re a serious company (especially startups)
- If their niche content is aligned with their industry
If they haven’t updated their company for a while, my instincts say not to use their product or service.
Companies or startups that leverage a corporate blog with specific expertise can:
- Increase organic leads and conversion
- Reduce the ad costs over time
- Establish more authority in their industry
- Acquire and build trust with an existing or new audience
One of my favorite examples is the blog from Kinsta Hosting.

At the core, they offer managed WordPress hosting for a premium price compared to more affordable hosting providers like Bluehost or Stablepoint.

Even though this website is hosted with Stablepoint, I was a longtime customer with Kinsta.
One of the major reasons I joined their hosting was because they’re great in SEO and content marketing.

- Their blog posts are well written
- Their documentation is detailed
- They cover in-depth WordPress issues
- Provide great advice for beginners and seasoned WordPress developers
Because of that, they managed to build a great reputation over the years and positioned themselves as WordPress experts.
By reinforcing a positive brand image through blogging, you’re able to convince readers and turn them into customers.
Blogging Is Great For Personal Branding
One of the biggest reasons I prefer blogging (and why it stays relevant) is that personal blogs can be evergreen.
It’s a great medium to enhance your marketing efforts and build a bigger, better personal brand.
You could argue that platforms like TikTok, Instagram, or Threads are doing a better job with that, but those platforms are fast-paced.
You might be a star today, but tomorrow you’re forgotten or overshadowed by someone else.
A blog can build that extra credibility if you’re a content creator or influencer.
Especially now with AI-generated profiles, it’s much harder to figure out if they’re real or not.
Should You Start A Blog In 2025?
I 100% believe you should. Start today. Don’t ever think that niche blogging is dead or irrelevant.
A blog will always be useful, even if you’re just sharing your thoughts.
- Consider a blog a hedge against other platforms on social media
- If you want to make money, blogging is a great option
- If you’re a freelancer and want to showcase your expertise in your niche
- If you’re a startup, most of them ignore blogging & content marketing
- …
It’s going to stay relevant for the next couple of decades, and I’m here for it to jot down everything I learn about niche blogging.
